This year our family finally took part in the fun Christmas festivities in Downtown Salt Lake City. We took the Trax Train downtown to see the lights at Temple Square as well as the Giant Gingerbread House at the Grand America Hotel, the giant musical Christmas Tree at the Gateway Mall, and the Candy Windows at Macy's. What a fun Christmas evening with our family!
We're waiting at the train station for the train to take us downtown for some Christmas Fun!
The girls were so excited to ride on the train, they talked about it for days.
All cozy together on the train.
Here we are in front of the homemade Giant Gingerbread House at The Grand America Hotel.
Daddy and his girls.
This Gingerbread House was pretty amazing.
There's Santa and his reindeer in front of the Gingerbread House.
This is the giant musical Christmas Tree at Gateway Mall.
Here's a video that shows how neat this tree really was. The video does it more justice than the photos do.
On to the main event...the lights at Temple Square! This was truly gorgeous and magical with all of the freshly fallen snow!
Not the best picture of the girls, but if you pretend that Mallory is praying and Bree is singing "Oh Holy Night" then it's a perfect picture for this time of year!
This nativity is really pretty, especially with the floating lights.
They had several, but this one was my favorite.
