Mallory had her first ever Dentist Visit last week when I went in for my 6 month check-up. At our dentist's office they call it a "Happy Visit" since most children are pretty unsure of the dentist at that point. The dentist wasn't really able to do much and didn't get the best look in her mouth, but she did let him get a good look at her front teeth since he gave her a princess toothbrush. She has all of her teeth now which is great because she does not teeth very well at all. She gets so crabby and whinny which understandable because you've got this sharp jagged, dagger-like tooth that is slowly tearing it's way through this tender and now extremely sensitive flesh of these poor kids' gums. I feel so bad for them because it really does hurt. So thankfully she finally has all of her teeth now. She just cut her last 2-year molar about a month or two ago.
Anyway, after her check-up she was able to go over to the treasure chest and pick out a toy. That was by far her favorite part. It looks like we will continue to do "Happy Visits" for awhile until Mallory grows more comfortable with the dentist trying to examine her teeth which is fine by us because they are free.
She had to bring her kitty with her to the dentist that grandma Tammy bought her while we were in Michigan this summer. She brings her kitty everywhere. She sure loves that little stuffed kitty.
Here she is with her new Cinderella toothbrush.
